Twitter Is Hatching a Reality Series 

New York, May 27: How do you create a television show when you are a Web-based communication tool that allows people to send messages of no more than 140 characters? (That limit was already reached before the end of this sentence.) 

 

Twitter, the online network that lets users communicate and broadcast through microscopically short text messages, said that a series was being planned in which participants would use the service to direct the action of the show. 

 

Variety reported that Twitter Inc. (its symbol is at left) would be working with the production companies Reveille (which also produces “The Biggest Loser” and the American edition of “The Office”) and Brillstein Entertainment to develop a reality series. 

 

In a joint statement the companies said the show would put “ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format.” A premiere date has not been announced. (The New York Times)
